Infinity is completing its new EVO drivetrain for the IF14 Speciale with an essential part: the Hex Wheel Hub EVO hexagonal wheel hubs, available in three offsets. Without them, the EVO driveshafts introduced in early August simply cannot be fitted.
Hex Wheel Hub EVO: three offsets to adjust track width
The Hex Wheel Hub EVO hubs are sold in pairs and come in three versions: part number TS189 with 0 mm offset, TS190 with +0.5 mm and TS191 with -0.5 mm. That half-millimetre either way makes it possible to fine-tune front or rear track width, a classic 1/10 touring adjustment used to play with load transfer and corner-entry response.
Watch out for compatibility
The key point: these hubs are designed exclusively for the EVO driveshafts, namely the 44 mm front ECS EVO driveshaft (TS182) and the 46 mm rear CVD EVO driveshaft (TS183). Infinity spells it out — the conventional TS061, TS062 and TS063 hubs are not compatible with this new drivetrain, and vice versa. Moving to the EVO assembly therefore means ordering the hubs at the same time as the driveshafts.
A dedicated tool and a short version of the front driveshaft
The Japanese brand is taking advantage of this series to add two useful part numbers. The aluminium TS199 Universal Joint Nut Tool makes servicing the front ECS EVO driveshaft easier. And TS194 offers a 42.5 mm front ECS EVO driveshaft, 1.5 mm shorter than the standard 44 mm version: a choice aimed at high-grip tracks, where it delivers smoother handling and better feedback for the driver.
