Francesco Tironi (Infinity) wins round 2 of the Italian 1:8 on-road championship

Italian driver Francesco Tironi, on an Infinity chassis, wins the main final of round 2 of the AMSCI Italian national 1:8 on-road championship, held at the Leno circuit in northern Italy.
A 45-minute main final
Starting third on the grid after qualifying, Tironi took victory after a 45-minute 1:8 on-road main final, beating second-qualifier Filippo Domanin (Xray) by just 3.1 seconds at the finish.
Andrea Muscolino completes the podium, Mirko Salemi takes pole
Andrea Muscolino, also on an Infinity, finishes third. Mirko Salemi (Serpent) had taken pole position with three fastest times across the four qualifying rounds and the fastest race lap, but had to settle for fourth overall.
The championship continues on October 25 at the Fiorani circuit for the final round of this Italian national 1:8 on-road championship.
