Xray has officially unveiled the X1’27, its new 1/10 formula chassis for the on-road category, this Friday, September 18, 2026. This new model replaces the X1’22 and X1’25 in the Slovak manufacturer’s catalog, with an ambitious specification sheet: more than 30 new features announced compared to the previous generation.

Xray X1’27: two chassis to choose from depending on the surface

Like its predecessors, the Xray X1’27 is offered in two versions designed for distinct uses. The carpet-dedicated version features a 2.0 mm aluminum chassis paired with a solid axle, while the asphalt version relies on a 2.2 mm carbon chassis coupled with a gear differential. This redesigned one-piece chassis gains rigidity at the rear while retaining a very thin carbon width, to maximize traction without sacrificing steering precision.

The front end has also been completely redesigned by Xray. The new, larger-diameter kingpin now integrates oil-filling ports, making shock maintenance easier. A new shim system above the kingpin allows finer adjustment of camber gain, while a redesigned stop screw replaces the old clips to adjust ride height more easily.

A composite front wing developed with Ehrbar Engineering

Another notable new feature of the Xray X1’27: the introduction of a HUDY composite front wing, developed in collaboration with Ehrbar Engineering. The stated goal for Xray: to offer sharper steering response and better aerodynamic stability, regardless of track conditions.

At the rear, the motor is now shifted 1.5 mm to the right thanks to redesigned pod plates, for better weight balance. The aluminum battery holder, now independent and floating, offers three adjustment positions over a 4 mm range. Several chassis elements have also been lowered by 2 to 3 mm to reduce the center of gravity. New C1.2 side springs are supplied as standard to improve performance right out of the box.

Manufactured in Slovakia using European materials and German and Swiss precision machinery, the Xray X1’27 retains a gear differential as standard, with a ball differential offered as an option for low-grip conditions. The kit remains fully adjustable: camber, caster, ride height, shocks, battery position, differentials and aerodynamics. In Europe, the Carbon Edition version of the Xray X1’27 (part number 370710) is already listed by some retailers, at a retail price of around 480 euros.
