A 1/8 buggy that is too sharp on turn-in is hard to exploit over the length of a main. Racestyle tackles the problem with a set of steering link spacers for the Mugen MBX8R, priced at 10 dollars, which alters the geometry of the front steering link.

Lowering the steering link on both hub and Ackerman sides

The RS Spec kit contains four spacers and the matching hardware: two long spacers for the hub side and two short spacers for the Ackerman side. By lowering both mounting points at once, the steering link works in a lower plane, which noticeably changes how the front end builds up load.

What it changes behind the wheel

According to Racestyle, the intended effect is smoother, less aggressive initial steering, offset by more steering in the middle of the corner and a better response on exit. The claimed result is a car that is easier to push hard, more predictable, and above all more consistent as track grip changes through the day.

The manufacturer recommends pairing this geometry change with front shock oil roughly 25 to 50 CST lighter.

Fitting and compatibility

Installation requires flipping the steering plates to the opposite side of the chassis, then fitting the spacers under the front hubs with the supplied M3 x 16 button head screws. The kit is designed for the Mugen Seiki MBX8R Nitro and MBX8R ECO.
