Xray expands the option list for its X4F’27 1/10 front wheel drive touring car with a 2.0mm thick carbon upper deck. This one-piece part is aimed at drivers looking to soften their car.
The 2.0mm carbon upper deck for the Xray X4F’27
This upper deck is designed as a single piece, with a deliberately narrow shape that makes installation and access to the components underneath easier. It is CNC machined from high quality carbon fibre material made in the USA.
More flex for low grip tracks
The 2.0mm thickness brings more compliance than thicker versions. On a front wheel drive car, that extra flex helps the car settle better on low grip tracks: the chassis works more, the tyre stays loaded longer and the car becomes more forgiving.
Xray notes that the part can also be modified by the driver to open up additional balance options, by working on the flex area. This is common practice in competition touring, where the upper deck is part of the stiffness settings just like spacers or chassis mounting.

The part is listed in the official Xray catalogue among the X4F’27 options.
