Xray is adding a tuning part to its 1:8 GT: the 1 Dot 3mm carbon steering block plates, part number 352365. A geometry option aimed at GTX drivers looking for more steering on corner entry, on a platform that was thoroughly revised in May 2026.

What the Xray GTX 1 Dot carbon steering block plates change

The 1 Dot marking corresponds to an Ackermann geometry different from the standard one. In practice, the plate changes the position of the steering link mounting point to increase the steering angle of the outside wheel. That wheel, the most heavily loaded under cornering, does most of the work: giving it more angle translates into increased overall steering.

More linear steering and a sharper front end

According to Xray, the result is a more linear steering characteristic, hence more aggressive, with a front end that responds more quickly to the driver’s inputs. The target behaviour is a car that places its nose without needing constant corrections, particularly through the tight sequences of GT tracks.

A carbon option sold in pairs

The part is cut from high-quality carbon made in the United States, in 3mm thickness, and set 352365 contains two plates, enough for both front steering blocks. It joins the GTX option range, whose last major update dates from May 2026, the first overhaul of the platform since 2024.
