The Austrian 1/8 on-road nitro championship wrapped up its final round last weekend at the LAMAC circuit in St. Paul, and it was Manuel Trinko who claimed third place in the 2026 overall standings. The driver, who also heads the Modellsport Trinko distributorship, once again confirmed the competitiveness of his Serpent Viper 990R against strong opposition.
A solid final round to close the season with the Serpent Viper 990R
In this last round held on the technical St. Paul track, Manuel Trinko posted third place on the day, a result enough to secure third overall in the final standings of the Austrian national championship. A performance built on remarkable consistency throughout the season.
The Austrian driver can indeed boast a podium finish in each of the four rounds held this year. A consistency that speaks both to the reliability of his Serpent Viper 990R and to Trinko’s technical mastery, who combines the roles of competitor and official distributor of the Dutch brand in Austria through his Modellsport Trinko structure.
The Viper 990R, Serpent‘s flagship chassis in the 1/8 nitro on-road category, continues its run of strong results in national competition. This model, designed for the nitro GT format, remains one of the preferred choices for drivers seeking a balance between raw performance and ease of setup on track.
This new result adds to the Dutch brand’s record on the Austrian scene and confirms Serpent‘s strong momentum in 1/8 on-road as the 2026 season draws to a close.
