An aluminum servo saver arm to replace the Kyosho MP11 IF720
T-Work’s keeps rolling out its option range for the Kyosho MP11 1/8 nitro buggy with the TO-302-MP11, a servo saver arm machined from hard-coated 7075-T6 aluminum. The part matches the dimensions of the original IF720 part exactly: it installs with no modification, on the MP11 as well as the electric MP11E.
The servo saver arm is a part nobody thinks about as long as it holds. Yet it is the one that takes the hit when a front wheel catches a pipe or a curb: it has to be stiff enough not to absorb steering movement in normal use, and strong enough not to bend on the first big impact. The stock plastic does the job but gradually deforms — and a few tenths of a millimetre of deformation is enough to make the steering feel vague.
7075-T6 with a black hard coat
The choice of 7075-T6 at T-Work’s is not for show: it is the hardest aluminum alloy in common use in competition RC. The black hard-coated surface treatment further increases surface hardness and wear resistance, on a part that constantly rubs against the steering ball ends. The result cushions impacts while protecting the servo, which remains the part’s real function.
Three threaded shims to adjust the steering spacing
This is the most interesting aspect of the part: it ships with three types of threaded adjustment shims, labelled B, C and D, which change the distance between the arm and the linkage.
Shim B offers two positions, 22.5 mm and 21.5 mm. Shim C is fixed at 22 mm, for those looking for a strictly repeatable setting from one car to the next. Shim D offers two wider positions, 21 mm and 23 mm. That is five spacing values accessible without changing parts, which lets you play with steering ratio — shorter travel and sharper response, or the opposite — depending on the layout and the servo used. T-Work’s also offers shims A and E as options, sold separately, for anyone wanting to widen the range further.
Price and availability
The TO-302-MP11 is listed at $23.79 on the official T-Work’s store, posted on 29 August 2026 and in stock. It joins the TO-354-D-S and TO-354-E-S steel engine mounts released a few days earlier for the same MP11.
