Defending world champion Davide Ongaro (Team Associated) grabs the final Top Seed of the 2026 IFMAR 1:8 Nitro Buggy World Championship, after the second seeding round held at the Thornhill Racing Circuit in Texas.

A benchmark time despite a broken front arm in round 1

Ongaro sets the only sub-1:50 time of this second round, at 1:49.983, despite breaking a front arm during the first seeding round. He narrowly beats David Ronnefalk (Xray, 1:50.126), with Mason Fuller (SWorkz) third.

Canas, Nguyen and Sutherland round out the top 6

Juan Carlos Canas (SWorkz) and young Phi-Long Nguyen (Kyosho) take 4th and 5th respectively, ahead of Nate Sutherland. This seeding order now sets up the qualifying rounds of this 1:8 Nitro Buggy World Championship, where Ongaro is chasing a 4th consecutive world title.
