Reflex Racing is updating its 1/28 set-up tool: the RX547V3 set-up station moves to version 3, still supplied with its carrying case, and addresses the two main criticisms aimed at the previous generations.

A 1/28 set-up station modelled on larger-scale tools

The Texan manufacturer claims an in-house design inspired by larger-scale set-up stations, rather than a simple rebadge of generic tooling. The principle remains the same: place the chassis on a rigid, perfectly flat reference in order to measure and set camber, ride height and geometry without the guesswork of an “eyeball” set-up on a pit table.

22.8 or 22.5 mm tyre simulation

The distinctive feature of this Reflex Racing station is its ability to simulate two tyre diameters, 22.8 mm or 22.5 mm, so that the values measured genuinely match the tyres used on track. In 1/28, where a few tenths of a millimetre change the behaviour of a Mini-Z or an RX28 chassis, that detail determines how reliable the rest of the set-up will be.

What version 3 changes

Two concrete improvements separate the V3 from the previous version. First: in most cases, the front bumper no longer has to be removed to fit the car onto the station — only the raised bumper configuration still requires removal. Second: the V3 now allows the steering angle to be measured and set, a function previously missing from the tool.

Part number and availability

The station is listed as RX547V3 (“Reflex Racing 1/28 Set Up Station with Carrying Case Version 3 – 2WD”) and priced at 85 dollars on the official store, where it is shown in stock. It comes complete with its carrying case.
