Xbility, a brand that claims the 1/28 world championship title, unveils a new hybrid chassis designed to fine-tune flex on this miniature scale. The concept: pair a steel chassis section with a carbon section, bolted together, rather than offering a fixed single-material chassis.
Flex adjustable with a screwdriver
The appeal of this Xbility chassis lies in its ability to vary torsional flex simply by adding or removing screws at the steel/carbon junction, without swapping parts. Drivers can therefore fine-tune chassis behavior according to available grip and their driving preferences, a setup usually more constrained on 1/28 platforms. The servo mount is built directly into the chassis design.
This modular approach fits the trend of 1/28 racing becoming more professional, with tuning solutions increasingly close to what is found on larger scales such as 1/12 or 1/10 pan car.
