HPI Stage-D24: 1:24 rear-wheel-drive drifting in RTR form with a licensed Toyota GR Supra

HPI Racing is bringing rear-wheel-drive drifting down to a scale that fits on a table: the Stage-D24 is a 1:24 RTR designed from the ground up as an RWD drift platform, not as a small car fitted with hard tyres. Two versions are announced, listed as 161267 in Prominence Red and 161268 in Metallic Dawn Blue.
A 1:24 drift chassis designed around rear-wheel drive
The layout borrows from far larger drift chassis: a three-gear transmission mounted at the rear, a locked spool differential, independent front suspension and T-bar rear suspension. The whole package aims at controlling the slide rather than at outright pace.
Adjustability has not been sacrificed to miniaturisation: front track adjustable from 76 to 85 mm, rear track from 70 to 85 mm, wheelbase variable from 95 to 110 mm around a 102 mm baseline, adjustable steering links and, above all, a steering angle reaching 67.5 degrees — enough to hold counter-steer at big angles and link transitions. The chassis measures 183 mm long, 80 mm wide and 55 mm tall.
A 16-piece 2024 Toyota GR Supra hardbody
The body is an officially licensed hard replica of the 2024 Toyota GR Supra, made of 16 pieces with clear windows and light buckets. Front and rear LEDs are supplied. Mounting is magnetic: no posts or visible clips to spoil the lines of the shell. Optional drift decal sheets are included in the box, for the modeller to choose from.
Combined electronics and a gyro adjustable from the transmitter
The Stage-D24 arrives fully assembled and ready to run. The onboard electronics rely on an SRL-805 module that combines ESC, receiver, gyro and LED controller in a single compact unit, paired with a 37-turn brushed 370 motor and an MS-01WR micro steering servo (0.85 kg at 6.0 V). The TF-805 radio is a 5-channel 2.4 GHz set, the fifth channel being used precisely to adjust gyro gain while driving — valuable help when starting out in rear-wheel drive.
A 7.4 V 600 mAh LiPo battery and a USB balance charger are included, so the car can be driven straight out of the box. HPI Racing did not announce a public price at launch.
