Carisma is now shipping the ARR version of its M40S 2.0 wearing the officially licensed Audi R8 LMS GT3 body. The release comes with bad news for 1/10 GT fans: the Audi licence is coming to an end at the manufacturer, so part number 93068 will be the last chance to get the R8 from the brand.

The Carisma M40S 2.0 relies on three differentials

The Carisma M40S 2.0 carries over the architecture that built the M40S platform’s reputation: permanent 4WD transmission with an integrated centre differential, backed by a gear differential at the front and another at the rear. It all sits on a carbon composite chassis, with aluminium oil-filled shocks at all four corners and front and rear anti-roll bars fitted as standard.

Brushless motor and 3S-capable ESC in the box

Supplied in ARR (Almost Ready to Run) form, the car arrives assembled with its 550 brushless motor and an ESC compatible with both 2S and 3S LiPo. All that is missing is the battery and radio gear — plus, if you want to make use of the front and rear light buckets already in place, an LED lighting kit sold separately.

An officially licensed GT3 body

The body reproduces the Audi R8 LMS GT3 with its widebody treatment, an injection-moulded front splitter and a high-downforce rear wing. The whole package is listed at $359.99 under part number 93068, in stock at Carisma.
