The high-downforce rear wing announced by XRAY for its X1 targets 1/10 Formula drivers looking to load up the rear end further. Offered in black, it replaces the original wing on the Slovak brand’s 1/10 formula car and is approved for ETS events.
An X1 wing designed for maximum downforce
1/10 Formula is a class where rear aerodynamic load conditions everything else: it is what lets you get back on the throttle early out of a corner without breaking the driven axle loose. The new X1 wing has been shaped specifically to generate as much downforce as possible, where standard wings favour a compromise between downforce and drag.
Improved stability and rear traction
XRAY highlights two concrete gains: better overall stability of the car and improved rear traction. On carpet or high-grip asphalt layouts, where a 1/10 Formula car runs very fast and where the slightest loss of grip is punished immediately, this kind of part behaves less like an accessory than like a genuine setup item in its own right. Conversely, on a slow or low-grip track, the extra downforce can cost top speed: it really is a setup option, to be chosen according to the circuit.
Approved for ETS racing
An important point for drivers competing in championships: the wing is approved for use at ETS (Euro Touring Series), the European benchmark event for 1/10 on-road. It can therefore be fitted without any fear of failing technical inspection, which is not always the case with alternative wings offered by option-parts makers.
