Italian tuning brand Futura, part of the Mikimodel group, launches a conversion kit dedicated to the new 1/10 scale Formula 1 Xray X1’27 chassis, allowing the use of standard rubber tyres rather than foam alone.

A narrower front track

The two-piece kit narrows the chassis’s front track from 189 mm to 183 mm, enough clearance to fit standard rubber tyres without altering the original steering kinematics. Going further with narrow 5x10x3 mm bearings, the track can be reduced even more, down to 181 mm, for the finest setup tuning.

A welcome addition for pan car purists

This Futura conversion is aimed at 1/10 F1 drivers looking to diversify their tyre setups on the brand new Xray chassis, without being limited to the foam tyres usually associated with modern F1 chassis.
