The 1/10 sport touring cars from Xpress are going carbon. The Hong Kong based manufacturer is opening a range of matte carbon parts aimed at the Arrow AT1S and the Execute XQ3S, two chassis that ship with FRP composite plates as standard. These “Sport spec” sets make it possible to stiffen the car gradually, part by part, without having to change kit.
Xpress Arrow AT1S: the most complete matte carbon set
It is the Arrow AT1S that gets the fullest line-up. The matte carbon conversion set includes a 2.25 mm thick main chassis, a 2.0 mm top deck, the linkage plate for the floating propeller shaft system, an upper bulkhead as well as the front and rear shock towers. That covers every structural FRP part fitted as standard on this shaft-driven 4WD.
Execute XQ3S: chassis and body mount
The Execute XQ3S, the brand’s sport rear-wheel-drive car, gets a more targeted offer: a 2.25 mm matte carbon main chassis and a rear body mount. On this type of chassis, switching from FRP to carbon changes overall stiffness and therefore mechanical grip — a tuning lever that club racers readily use to adapt the car to very high-grip tracks.
Parts sold individually
Xpress is not selling these sets as a closed package: each part remains available separately in the catalogue. That is a logical choice, since the matte finish is not purely cosmetic — it limits reflections and, above all, it lets you start with the main plate alone before extending the conversion to the rest of the chassis as needed.
