Yokomo moves in directly on the US market

Japanese group Forest, parent company of Yokomo, has announced the creation of Yokomo USA Corp, a wholly-owned subsidiary based in California and officially launched on September 1, 2026. Previously distributed in the United States through local partners, the brand will now directly handle sales and marketing of its competition RC cars, notably its drift lineup, on the American market.

The stated goal is to build a lasting local presence: forging retailer partnerships, growing online sales and strengthening brand activities tied to real-world drift events. For Forest, the move illustrates an extension of its development model beyond simple business succession in Japan, now offering international support to its group brands.

A restructuring that should, in time, make new Yokomo releases more readily available across the Atlantic, a key market for RC competition.
