Italian manufacturer WIRC Racing is adding a new optional chassis for its 1/8 competition buggy SBX4, extended by 3mm compared to the standard version. Machined from aerospace-grade 7075 T6 aluminium, the chassis targets drivers looking for extra stability in high-speed setups.
A +3mm SBX4 chassis tested by Joern Neumann
The new SBX4 +3mm chassis was track-tested by driver Joern Neumann, who just won the German DMC 1/10 2WD electric buggy national title, and who reports improved stability and easier handling compared with the original chassis.
WIRC Racing kept the same thickness and mounting geometry as the standard chassis, allowing a direct swap on SBX4 buggys already in use with no further modification. The manufacturer has not announced pricing or an exact availability date for this new option.
