VP-Pro Mad Runner Evo: the VP-858F front tyre arrives for 1/8 buggy on carpet

VP-Pro is completing its Mad Runner Evo range from the top: after the rear, the Taiwanese manufacturer releases the front version, part number VP-858F, aimed at 1/8 buggy on synthetic surfaces.

VP-858F: a front tyre cut for carpet and astro turf

The VP-858F was developed specifically for carpet and astro turf, surfaces where mechanical grip matters less than the way the carcass works. The tread pattern targets a precise compromise: provide good forward traction while reducing side bite at high speed. On a front axle, that is exactly what stops the car turning nervous through fast corners.

Two compounds, five wheel colours

The tyre comes in two compounds, MS2 and MS3, enough to cover variations in temperature and grip level from one track to the next. On the wheel side, five colours are available: yellow, white, pink, green and orange. Each part number exists in a pre-glued version or as a tyre only, to be mounted yourself.

Quality rubber and a closed-cell insert

Construction uses high quality rubber paired with a durable closed-cell insert, a classic choice in 1/8 off-road to keep a consistent response run after run without the foam packing down. VP-Pro logically recommends pairing this front with the VP-858 Mad Runner Evo at the rear, to keep a coherent balance across both axles.
