VBC Racing is back with a chassis that goes against the grain: the Varia MPAN-RR, a 1/10 pan car in M-Chassis format, rear-motor and rear-wheel drive, designed to bring back the feel of a real rear-engine sports car rather than chase artificial grip.

A 1/10 M-Chassis pan car built for real dynamics

With it, the manufacturer launches the Varia collection, built around a simple idea: real dynamics, real physics, real engagement. The Varia MPAN-RR aims to reproduce the raw power delivery, weight transfer and behaviour of a full-scale rear-engine rear-wheel-drive car. A refreshing stance in a discipline often pulled towards hyper-optimisation.

Carbon chassis, 7075 aluminium and an all-alloy steering rack

The main plate is precision-cut carbon fibre, joined by a carbon dust cover on the rear shaft and carbon composite parts calibrated for flex. Aero-grade 7075 aluminium equips the most heavily loaded areas: steering blocks, body post micro-adjusters and heavy-duty structural mounts. Steering relies on a fully ball-bearing supported all-aluminium rack with easily adjustable Ackermann angles.

Floating servo mount, inline or transverse battery

The floating servo mount avoids tweaking the chassis and lets the plate flex symmetrically and naturally. For balance, two battery layouts are possible, inline or transverse, to fine-tune weight distribution and roll behaviour. There are also titanium steering turnbuckles and an impact-resistant TPU front bumper.

210 and 225 mm wheelbase, options included as standard

The wheelbase adjusts to 210 or 225 mm to accept most M-Chassis bodies on the market — with VBC Racing clearly recommending rear-engine shells, Porsche 911 style, to stay true to the project. Good news: the option parts bag ships as standard, with an all-new front end featuring interchangeable camber and adjustable caster, a full range of front and side springs, camber inserts, adjustment shims and spare hardware. The kit, announced at 299 dollars, still requires wheels, tyres, body and electronics, and is available through authorised VBC Racing dealers.
