Serpent has announced a new aluminium chassis option for its Medius X26 1:10 electric touring car, released back in late June. The new option sits alongside the original steel chassis, aimed at racers who want to fine-tune their car’s weight balance.

A chassis 70 grams lighter for finer weight tuning

The aluminium chassis for the Medius X26 is roughly 70 grams lighter than the steel version, giving racers more room to fine-tune weight distribution, particularly useful in stock racing, where heavier batteries are commonly used. Its overall flex is slightly softer than the steel chassis too, adding extra rotation, making it especially well suited to stock setups.

This new option further expands an already well-developed X26 racing programme, as the Dutch brand continues to evolve its flagship touring car throughout the season.
