Serpent lifts the veil on the SRX8e Gen4, the new generation of its competition 1/8 electric buggy. Rather than a radical overhaul, the brand favored a philosophy of continuous refinement, with every change validated in real-world racing conditions.
A 7075-T6 chassis built for competition
The SRX8e Gen4 gets a CNC-machined hard-anodized 7075-T6 aluminum chassis, compatible with both block and saddle-pack battery configurations, with three battery positions (rear, mid, forward) to fine-tune weight distribution depending on track conditions.
New Geo-Matrix geometry
On the suspension side, the Geo-Matrix system offers 25 indexed adjustment positions, paired with new 16mm shock cartridges with a threaded retainer and V2 caster blocks (17°, 19°, 21°). The drivetrain also evolves: larger driveshaft joints (9→10mm), reinforced cross-pins (2.5→3mm) and an HTD center differential accessible via six screws for easier maintenance.
