Injora is rounding out its crawling wheel catalogue with the 1.9 Turbine Deep Dish, part number W1915. A model that fully embraces an older look, in the style of 1980s turbine wheels, while remaining compatible with the vast majority of 1/10 crawlers and trail trucks.
1.9 beadlock wheels in machined aluminium
Construction is multi-piece: inner face, outer face, internal ring or barrel, and a separate hub. Everything is machined from solid aluminium, which allows the wheel to be taken apart to change a tyre without sacrificing anything — the very principle of the beadlock. The hub is the 12 mm standard, the norm on 1/10 crawler axles.
81.6 g per wheel: weight is an argument here
Each Injora wheel weighs 81.6 g, which is deliberately heavy. In crawling, that unsprung mass placed as low as possible acts as natural ballast: it plants the wheels on the ground on steep climbs and helps the vehicle stay settled on sidehills, where a crawler that is too light rolls over. The 11 mm negative offset also widens the track, which likewise plays into lateral stability.
Dimensions and finishes
Outer diameter is 52.5 mm for a width of 30 mm, classic figures for a 1.9. Injora offers the Turbine Deep Dish in black, white and purple, that last colour clearly aimed at slightly louder scale builds.
Price
The four-wheel set is offered at 49.99 dollars on the Injora store. A modest price for four pieces of machined aluminium, in a segment where metal beadlocks often go well beyond that level.
