Carbon anti-tuck stiffeners are one of those small parts that go unnoticed but can save a heat. Hudy has just added its own to the catalogue under part number 209260, designed for 1/10 touring car bodies and sold in pairs.

Carbon anti-tuck stiffeners against body tuck

Every on-road racer knows the problem: after a hit from behind or a two-wheel moment, the lexan skirt folds under itself, rubs against the tyre and turns a good run into a DNF. The two stiffeners are mounted on the body, just behind the rear wheel arch, and locally stiffen the area to prevent that tuck. The body springs back into shape instead of staying jammed under the wheel.

0.5mm of CNC-machined carbon

True to the Slovak brand’s philosophy, these stiffeners are CNC-cut from premium-grade carbon just 0.5mm thick. The added weight is negligible and sits very low on the car, with no measurable effect on the centre of gravity or on the front/rear balance of a 1/10 touring car. The thin carbon also follows the curve of the body without distorting it when glued in place.

Part number and availability

The part number to remember is 209260, supplied as a set of two. The product is already distributed in Europe, notably by ToniSport, at around 12.90 euros a pack. That is a tiny outlay compared with the price of a painted body, especially in 1/10 touring where homologated bodies are a recurring expense over a full season.

With this release, Hudy continues to expand an already very broad range of on-road accessories, after the titanium turnbuckles and the A2-40 tyre chosen as the official tyre of the 2026 IFMAR touring car World Championships.
