Touring 1/10: Elliott Harper kicks off the 2026/27 Essex Winter Series in style

Elliott Harper dominates the Essex Winter Series opener

The 15th season of the Essex Winter Series, the British winter carpet touring 1/10 series, kicked off with a round 1 contested across three classes. In Modified, Elliott Harper on a Schumacher chassis dominated the day, taking pole position before winning the final ahead of Thurston and Branson.

In the Stock class, defending champion Zak Finlay (Team Zombie) won by the narrowest of margins, just 0.8 seconds ahead of Ollie Payne at the finish, with Whitelock completing the podium. In Front Wheel Drive, Stuart Collard (ToniSport) capitalized on mistakes from the leaders to take the win, ahead of Looney and Chipolina.

This season opener confirms Elliott Harper‘s current form, already a winner of the final round of the BRCA British Championship at Adur in September. The British Essex Winter Series now continues on its usual winter calendar.
