Custom Works’ Beast 2 dirt oval kit expands tuning options in Midget class
Custom Works unveils the Beast 2 (part# 0652, $499), the second generation of its kit dedicated to the Midget class in 1/10 dirt oval racing, an American discipline raced on dirt ovals where the car must adapt to widely varying track conditions.
The kit keeps the build quality of the original Beast while adding several upgrades: two interchangeable transmission options (laydown and standup), an adjustable chassis offset, and a choice of servo position (front or mid), letting a single car adapt to both high-bite tracks and loose, slick dirt surfaces without needing two separate chassis. Stock equipment includes CW MDX Big Bore shocks on all four corners, a CW 2.6 ball differential, full ball bearings, and titanium turnbuckles.
The kit is designed to run on 2.2 buggy-style rubber tires, and remains compatible with Custom Works‘ optional patented adjustable rear arms and gear differential for setups outside spec-class rules.
