Japanese racing electronics specialist Acuvance is opening a new chapter in its catalogue. The Acuvance REY-Storm II is the very first product under ORANGE LABEL, a new line the Osaka brand reserves for accessories worked on as much for their engineering as for their styling. Announced on 3 August 2026, this high-speed fan has been shipping since 6 August.

Acuvance REY-Storm II: a fan machined from solid

The first-generation REY-Storm recipe is not called into question: the Acuvance REY-Storm II keeps the high-output characteristics that built its reputation on racing brushless motors. What changes is the body. It is now produced by fine aluminium machining, with a design that directly evokes a real car wheel: open spokes, a pronounced shoulder and an anodised finish.

This is not just a matter of looks. A body machined from solid stays more rigid than a moulded part when it is bolted to a motor that is heating up, and it passes fewer vibrations to the impeller. In a 1/10 touring race run indoors, where the motor sits permanently close to its thermal limit, airflow stability matters as much as raw output.

Four colours, and a blue that stays in the catalogue

The REY-Storm II arrives in four finishes, each with its own part number:

  • Black – OP-15171
  • Blue – OP-15172
  • Purple – OP-15173
  • Red – OP-15174

Blue is the new addition to the range, and Acuvance makes one important point: unlike the limited blue runs announced the same day on the XARVIS XX and FLEDGE speed controllers, this blue is a standard catalogue colour, not a limited production. It will therefore remain available to match a fan to a chassis livery over the long term.

Price and availability

The suggested retail price is 6,300 yen excluding tax per unit whatever the colour, or around 37 euros at current rates, excluding tax and import. Shipping from Japan began on 6 August 2026; as is often the case with Acuvance, availability at European dealers will follow a few weeks later.

What it changes for racers

With ORANGE LABEL, Acuvance is clearly segmenting its offering: speed controllers and motors stay under the historic banner, while visible accessories – fans first among them – move to a label where design is part of the specification. For 1/10 touring and on-road racers already running a XARVIS XX or a FLEDGE, the REY-Storm II is the piece that completes the set, with unchanged cooling and a distinctly more polished look in the motor bay.
