Mugen Seiki officially unveils the MSX1, its new 1:10 four-wheel-drive electric competition buggy. This platform follows the launch of the 2WD MSB1, introduced at the 2023 IFMAR World Championships, and had already been spotted as a prototype at the 2025 World Championships in Australia.
An aluminum chassis built for fine-tuning
The MSX1 features a 2.5mm A7075-T6 aluminum chassis with an 8-degree kick-up angle. Its front and rear gearboxes are height-adjustable across three positions, allowing racers to reposition the differentials to suit different track conditions. A slipper clutch rounds out the power management, while an adjustable front one-way and 7-degree aluminum caster blocks refine the front-end geometry.
A lightweight lexan body
Mugen Seiki states that the kit ships with a lexan body engineered to stay as light as possible while keeping a clean look. The Japanese manufacturer presents the MSX1 as a platform that combines “an efficient drivetrain layout, a durable design, and extensive setup options” to adapt to any track condition.
