Dim3nsion by JP rounds out its options catalogue with a 1.5 mm carbon topdeck for the Serpent Medius X26, the Dutch brand’s 1/10 electric touring car. The part comes in two variants, Standard and Wave, both aimed at the same goal: giving the chassis an extra level of flex to work with in setup.
Standard version: the original geometry, softer
The Standard version keeps the classic geometry of the stock topdeck, but in a reduced 1.5 mm thickness. As a result, the chassis flexes more than in its original configuration. A relevant choice when the track lacks bite and the car needs to generate mechanical grip rather than rely on surface adhesion.
Wave version: even more flex
The Wave variant takes the logic further with greater flexibility. It opens up an additional setup step for changing track conditions, typically cold or dusty surfaces where an over-stiff chassis becomes nervous and hard to place.
Flex, a genuine setup lever in 1/10 touring
On a Serpent Medius X26 as on any competition touring car, playing with topdeck thickness remains one of the most direct ways to change behaviour without touching the shocks or the geometry. Less material means more flex, therefore more mechanical grip and generally more predictable behaviour on corner entry. Having two distinct levels within the same reference avoids stacking up multiple decks to cover the useful range.
