Californian brand TZO, better known for its racing rubber, is moving into aerodynamics with the FastLine Aero, a 7-inch wide pre-cut Lexan wing aimed at the 1/10 buggy classes. Priced at $13.99, it targets rear downforce and stability, two parameters that make the difference on fast tracks.

A 1/10 wing designed for rear downforce

The FastLine Aero profile is built around an extended rear gurney, tasked with increasing downforce and stabilising the rear end, combined with a long chord. This mix of a wide platform and a generous chord is aimed at consistency: the more surface the wing works with, the less abruptly the car reacts to attitude changes on jump landings.

Reinforcing ribs and built-in trim lines

TZO has moulded vertical reinforcing ribs into the Lexan to make the wing last, a classic answer to the twisting and creasing that show up after a few rolls. The wing also gets pre-marked trim lines: the driver can reduce the surface area or shorten the gurney without a template, to match downforce to the weekend’s track.

Three thicknesses and a direct fit

The FastLine Aero comes in three versions: a light weight “Dirt” variant, a light weight “Carpet” variant and a regular, stiffer thickness. It is listed as a direct fit for most 2WD and 4WD 1/10 buggies on the market, and is sold unpainted, in pre-cut clear Lexan.
