T-Work’s keeps expanding its catalogue around the Team Associated RC8 with two new options machined from 7075-T6 aluminium, both black anodised: a centre differential lower mount and a set of multi-Ackerman steering block plates.
TO-295-B4.2: the centre differential lower mount
Machined from 7075-T6 aluminium, this part gets a black anodised finish and a chamfered-edge design. Its benefit is structural: replacing the stock part with a metal version increases torsional rigidity around the centre differential. Power transmission becomes more precise, and the assembly copes better with both deformation and impacts — two points that matter on a 1/8 off-road car facing jump landings. Part number TO-295-B4.2 covers the RC8B4.1, RC8B4.2 and RC8B4.2e as well as the RC8T4.2 and RC8T4.2e truggies.
TO-314A-RC8: multi-Ackerman steering block plates
Same material, same finish for the TO-314A-RC8 steering block plates, also cut from high-strength 7075-T6 aluminium. Their distinguishing feature is the multiple drilling: three Ackermann settings are available, at 0, +1 and +2 degrees. That is enough to adjust the angle difference between inner and outer wheel, and therefore behaviour on corner entry and mid-corner, without changing turnbuckles or improvising shims.
Broad compatibility across the RC8 range
These plates are not limited to the latest model: they fit a wide range of Team Associated RC8 cars, from the RC8B4.2 to earlier buggy generations as well as the truggies of the RC8T family. A good way to modernise the steering of a chassis already in service without starting over with a new kit.
