The T-Work’s option parts range for the Team Associated RC8T4.2 has just expanded in one go: on 15 August 2026 the Taiwanese option-part specialist put online five new references dedicated to the RC8T4.2 nitro 1/8 truggy and to its electric RC8T4.2E version. True to its recipe, T-Work’s does not touch the original geometry and concentrates the work on materials: titanium for the turnbuckles and the hardware, hard-coated 7075-T6 aluminum for the balls.
64 titanium turnbuckles for both RC8T4.2 versions
Two turnbuckle sets open the series, one per chassis version: reference TB-RC8T4.2 for the nitro truggy and TB-RC8T4.2E for the electric one. Both are machined from so-called “64” titanium, the Ti-6Al-4V alloy well known to mechanics, with a deliberately thickened centre section to take repeated loads without twisting. They fit the stock rod ends, which avoids buying new plastic ball cups for the installation. Expect $32.19 per set, whichever version you choose.
7075-T6 aluminum balls and full titanium hardware
The TO-200-T4.2 set gathers 22 balls machined from 7075-T6 aluminum with a hard surface treatment, compatible with both the RC8T4.2 and the T4.2E, for $43.39. This is the typical wear item on a 1/8 truggy: a marked ball eventually creates play in the arms and degrades chassis consistency by the end of the day.
The last two references target those who want to go all the way. The TSSU kits replace the entire hardware with 64 titanium UFO-head screws: 201 pieces for the nitro RC8T4.2 ($285.14) and 176 pieces for the electric RC8T4.2E ($263.23). The budget is substantial, but the operation melts away several tens of grams spread over the whole car, often at high points of the chassis.
An ever wider catalogue for Team Associated
This batch confirms the strategy of T-Work’s, which since the start of the summer has favoured complete platform-by-platform ranges rather than isolated parts. The RC8T4.2 racer can therefore build up his or her own level of equipment, from a simple pair of titanium turnbuckles to a fully re-screwed chassis. All five references are available on the brand’s official store.
