Driver moves continue as the season draws to a close: Hong Nor has announced the arrival of Portugal’s Tomas Mendonça within its factory team. Tomas Mendonça’s move to Hong Nor confirms the Taiwanese brand’s intention to strengthen its presence in Europe.

A driver spotted in GT

In its press release, Hong Nor highlights its new driver’s strong results in the GT category, a discipline in which he has stood out in recent months. The brand adds that Tomas Mendonça will not be limited to on-road: he will also represent Hong Nor colours in nitro buggy and electric buggy.

“A new challenge”

The Portuguese driver did not hide his satisfaction when the announcement was made, saying he was extremely proud to join the team and describing it as a new personal challenge, with the desire to get on track quickly with his new equipment.

No race calendar or details about the models he will run have been communicated at this stage. Hong Nor, a long-standing manufacturer of 1/8 buggies and GT cars, has a range covering both nitro and electric, which leaves several options open for the rest of the season.
