A well-known figure on the international racing scene, Thomas Tran announces a new professional chapter: he is joining Japanese brand Yokomo for a role focused on product design and development.
A strong track record in the RC industry
Team Losi Racing team manager since 2020, Thomas Tran also worked at JConcepts and founded the reference site 2WDMod.com. Under his leadership at TLR, his driver Tater Sontag won the 2WD Buggy World Championship title in 2023.
Now based in Japan, he will work out of Tsukuba RC Arena (Yatabe), one of the most iconic tracks in Japanese RC racing. In his announcement, he said: “Never in my wildest dreams would I have imagined calling Tsukuba RC Arena my office and joining the legendary Japanese Yokomo brand!!”
This hire reflects Yokomo‘s ambition to strengthen its product development team with a well-known and experienced figure from international competition.
