Team Associated RC10 4WD Factory Team: the 1/10 4WD buggy kit returns in competition trim

Forty years after the first RC10, Team Associated is bringing out the heavy artillery: the Team Associated RC10 4WD Factory Team (part no. 6055) is a 1/10 four-wheel-drive buggy kit completely reworked by the company’s in-house AREA 51 design team. The Californian brand sums up its promise in three words, “Engineered for Victory”: a historic platform brought back up to the standard of modern tracks.

Team Associated RC10 4WD Factory Team: a bronze aluminium monocoque

At the heart of the kit is a bronze-anodised 6061-T6 aluminium monocoque tub chassis, a visual signature instantly recognisable on the RC10 line. The nose tubes, motor plate and thumb nuts switch to black anodising, while all the plastic parts go full black for a factory look.

Kashima shocks and carbon fibre throughout

The four 13 mm Factory Team Big Bore shocks get a Kashima treatment, a coating derived from motorcycle racing that limits internal friction and smooths out travel. They mount on Big Bore compliant front and rear carbon fibre shock towers, designed to lower the centre of gravity. New carbon fibre steering plates and a transmission brace round out the package.

Stealth transmissions, V2 slipper and Factory Team driveshafts

The drivetrain uses the race-proven front and rear Stealth transmissions, paired with the V2 slipper clutch system and adjustable differentials. The 12 mm hex front axles and rear CVAs carry the Factory Team stamp. The kit ships with a Mirage Pro clear body, a B7 rear wing and white B84 12 mm hex wheels.
