Sanwa expands its radio lineup with the MT-5Z, a transmitter positioned in the mid-to-high-end segment and designed by znug design studio. It carries over two technologies previously reserved for the brand’s higher-end models: the Motion Steering system and the FEELING function, meant to give the driver a more precise driving feedback.
Three racing modes and telemetry compatibility
On the technical side, the Sanwa MT-5Z runs on 2.4GHz FH5 across 4 channels and now offers three racing modes instead of two on previous generations, to better adapt to each driver’s style. It can store 20 model settings in internal memory, expandable to 250 via SD card, and remains compatible with telemetry as well as the entire Sanwa RX-49x receiver lineup (RX-493i, RX-492i, RX-49T, RX-493, RX-492, RX-491).
This Sanwa radio targets touring and electric off-road racers who want a near-flagship feel without paying full flagship price.
Price
The Sanwa MT-5Z is listed at ¥49,800 before tax on the Japanese market.
