Unveiled at the 64th All Japan Model & Hobby Show, the new O.S. Speed R21 EURO3 engine expands Japanese manufacturer O.S. Engines’ 1:8 on-road competition lineup. It is due for release in November 2026.
The O.S. Speed R21 EURO3 1:8 on-road engine gains more power
Compared with the EURO2, the EURO3 claims an overall power increase while keeping the smooth, linear power delivery that made the R21 line’s reputation. O.S. Engines reworked the crankshaft (now referenced R2105) with two 4.5mm tungsten counterweights, redesigned the cylinder liner, and fitted the engine with an R2106 piston specially treated against seizing. The inner head has also been redesigned for better heat management, and the carburetor gets a dust cover ring.
The engine will be available on its own or in a combo with the TR03 EFRA2196 exhaust header paired with the MR05 muffler.
