A twist at the IFMAR 1/10 Nitro Touring Car World Championship in Gubbio: American Alex Esser, despite winning his 1/16 Final, is disqualified following post-race technical inspection.

A body shell outside the rules

His body shell was found not to meet the minimum dimensions, with the rear bumper cut too high. This disqualification promotes Rolli Josua, originally third, into the 1/8 Finals.

In the overall standings, only 52 drivers remain out of the 114 who started. Dario Balestri keeps his Top Qualifier status ahead of the Main Finals, starting Saturday at 08:00, with the one-hour championship final scheduled for 16:15 local time.
