MXLR is tackling a detail that every Junsi iCharger DX6 and DX8 owner knows: the yellow frame around the display. The German brand, already known for its flexible bumpers and track accessories, now offers a cover for the iCharger DX6 and DX8 that covers that front panel without touching the electronics.

A 3D printed iCharger DX6 and DX8 cover

The cover is 3D printed and comes in two distinct part numbers, each designed for the exact front face of its charger: MAX-04-004 for the DX6 and MAX-04-005 for the DX8. MXLR promises a millimetre-perfect fit, with no visible gaps once the part is in place.

Carbon finish and laser engraving

Visually, the part uses the brand’s in-house carbon look, completed by its characteristic laser engraving. The original yellow frame disappears completely behind the cover, which gives a far more consistent look on a pit table — and that is the only goal MXLR claims, openly accepting the purely cosmetic nature of the product.

Snap-on fitting, no modification

Fitting is a simple snap-on job: no glue, no screws, no cutting and not the slightest modification to the charger. The cover goes on and comes off by hand, leaving access to the connectors and the ventilation untouched. For a driver who takes their gear from race to race, that means going back to the original configuration in a matter of seconds.
