The Maverick Scout24 is a reminder that a miniature crawler is no toy. Under part number 151303, the HPI Racing group brand announces a 1/24 ready-to-run machine with four-wheel steering, a brushless motor and a three-position transmission. Enough to slip a genuine off-road climber into a living room as well as onto a technical outdoor course.
Maverick Scout24: four steering modes at your fingertips
The main selling point of the Maverick Scout24 lies in its four-wheel steering. From the MTX-316 transmitter supplied in the box, the driver switches between four modes: front steering only, rear steering only, counter-phase to tighten the turning radius, and in-phase to crab the car along an obstacle. On a chassis measuring 192mm long with a 135mm wheelbase, that setting genuinely changes the way you tackle a ledge or a side slope.
Three-position transmission and multi-link suspension
The model relies on a shaft-driven 4WD transmission with a three-position gearbox, paired with a 1212 brushless motor rated at 25 km/h (15.5 mph) top speed. Suspension uses oil-filled coilover shocks and multi-link geometry, with ground clearance tuned for crawling. The 55mm scale tyres are mounted on 1-inch split five-spoke wheels.
Painted body, LED lighting and nylon roll cage
The crawler arrives with a pre-painted body, factory-fitted LED lighting, an impact-resistant nylon roll cage and a decal sheet offering two different liveries. The kit is supplied complete: 2.4GHz radio, Element 7.4V 360mAh Li-Ion battery and the means to charge it. Only four AA batteries for the transmitter still need to be sourced. Stated dimensions: 192 x 122 x 100mm.
