Marcus Kaerup is the new 2026 EFRA TT 1/10 2WD European Champion. The Danish driver won at the ERT-Steyregg track in Austria, at the end of a three-leg final where he left his rivals with little to fight for. Two wins in A1 and A2 were enough to lock up the European title before the last leg was even run.

Kaerup unbeatable in A1 and A2

On a technical, high-grip layout, Marcus Kaerup posted the most consistent pace of the field. By taking the first two legs of the final, he made A3 largely irrelevant to the title outcome. Joona Haatanen won that third leg, a result that secured him second overall in the 1/10 2WD European Championship.

Behind them, Daniel Kobbevik rounded out the podium with two second-place finishes in the final. The Norwegian confirmed his outstanding current form, just days after his European title in 1/10 4WD at the same competition weekend.

A very deep European field

The depth of the top 10 illustrates just how competitive the 1/10 2WD off-road category has become in Europe. Between the Scandinavians, Germans, Poles and Spaniards, the gaps came down to a few tenths per lap, with tire choice proving decisive on a track that evolved a great deal over the weekend.

The event was run under the authority of EFRA, the European federation for radio-controlled cars, which oversees the entire calendar of electric and nitro continental championships.
