Australian company JRC Dynamics has announced the launch of JRC Trackside, a mobile app designed to centralise race data and setup tracking for RC car drivers.
Setup, lap times and an AI assistant combined in JRC Trackside
JRC Trackside lets drivers log lap times, setup, tyres, track conditions and driver feedback all in one place, while weather is logged automatically. Its “Prefill” feature recalls the last configuration used (car, track, tyres, setup) so only changes need to be entered. Lap times can be imported directly from LiveRC, MYLAPS Speedhive, or via result PDFs downloaded from MyRCM, while setup entry mirrors manufacturer setup sheet layouts.
The app’s standout feature is its AI assistant, dubbed “Engineer”, which draws on setup history, lap times and driver comments to suggest reasoned improvements, while letting drivers compare performance changes after a given tweak. JRC Dynamics also built in pace and consistency analysis tools, setup comparison, lap time comparison against other drivers in the same race, as well as roll centre and geometry calculators.
