The vintage scene still carries plenty of weight in 1/10 off-road, and JConcepts has clearly noticed. The American brand is releasing two new vintage flat wings for the RC10, directly inspired by late-1980s and early-1990s lines, but drawn with today’s tools.

Two widths: 7 inch and 5.5 inch

The 7″ RC10 Vintage Flat Wing carries part number 0538 (UPC 845937042569), while the 5.5″ RC10 Vintage Flat Wing gets part number 0539 (UPC 845937042576). The 5.5-inch version uses the original standard width, the one found on the JConcepts Detonator wing; the 7-inch version offers a more generous surface for those looking for extra downforce.

Tall side dams, single transition and dual gurney

Both models share the same design: a single angle transition, tall side dams whose leading edge forms a near 90-degree corner, and above all two rear gurney heights to choose from. That last point is what makes the wing interesting in use, since it lets you adjust downforce to suit track grip without swapping parts.

JConcepts has also included trim references: dimples matching RC10 width on one hand, RC10B2 and RC10B3 on the other, plus a centreline for mounting on other vehicles. The design also leaves plenty of “sling” clearance for dirt and debris thrown up by the rear tyres.

Price and packaging

Each part number is sold as a 2-piece set, at $17.00 retail, with a minimum advertised price of $14.45.
