Hudy 109480: aluminium set-up wheels to stop worn foams skewing 1:10 pan car settings

Hudy is adding a part to its trackside tool range: aluminium set-up wheels for the 1:10 pan car, under part number 109480. A workshop item that answers a very concrete pan car problem: foam tyres never keep their original diameter.
Why aluminium set-up wheels for the 1:10 pan car
On a car as low and as sensitive as a pan car, checking chassis balance means starting from a stable reference. Yet the foam tyres used in racing vary significantly in diameter as they are trued and raced, and rubber tyres deform under the weight of the car. Any ride height or tweak measurement taken on those tyres is therefore skewed from the outset.
Hudy‘s set-up wheels remove that variable: the rigid aluminium construction eliminates the inaccuracies caused by foam or rubber tyres, and each wheel is machined to a very tight tolerance so that both parts of a set are perfectly matched.
61.7mm of 7075 T6 aluminium
The wheel measures 61.7mm in diameter, a figure chosen to match the working height of a 1:10 pan car. It is CNC-machined from black-anodised 7075 T6 aluminium, with an integrated wheel nut mounted on a ball bearing so the wheel spins freely during checks. Set 109480 is sold in pairs.
An accessory that completes the set-up station
This part slots into the set-up ecosystem Hudy already offers for the pan car and 1:12 classes, where the Slovak brand supplies set-up stations, jigs and adapters. It is used ahead of any measuring session, to establish an identical basis for comparison from one race weekend to the next.
