Hitec Multiplex Japan has announced two new AC chargers designed for the pit bag: the X1 Pocket EX and the X2 V Pocket. Both models play the same card, miniaturisation at constant power, and are announced for late August 2026.
Hitec X1 Pocket EX: 65W in an 84 mm square
The X1 Pocket EX (part no. 44373) delivers 65W and up to 10A in a case measuring 84 × 84 × 45.3 mm and weighing 200 g, a 44% volume reduction over the X1 Pocket 2 it replaces. It accepts Li-Po, Li-Fe, Li-Ion and Li-HV packs from 2 to 4 cells, Ni-MH and Ni-Cd from 6 to 8 cells as well as lead-acid in 3S and 6S, with balance charge, storage and discharge modes. It is announced at ¥11,220 including tax.
Hitec X2 V Pocket: 120W across two independent channels
The X2 V Pocket (part no. 44374) uses the dual charger formula but in a vertical format of 90 × 70 × 106 mm for 355 g. It offers 2 × 60W that are genuinely independent, which makes it possible to charge two packs of different chemistries at the same time — a Li-Po drive pack and a NiMH receiver pack, for example. The announced price is ¥15,950 including tax.
Front-facing connectors and DC power mode
Both units share a clearly track-oriented approach: XT60 sockets and balance connectors placed on the front panel, to avoid the tangle of cables that trails behind a charger sitting on a pit table. They run on 100–240V AC and offer a 6 to 17V DC power supply mode, handy for running a soldering station, a break-in bench or a pit fan from the same outlet.
Availability
The X1 Pocket EX and X2 V Pocket are announced by Hitec for release in late August 2026.
