The MBC 61 club in Chanu hosted the fifth and final round of the 2026 French 1/8 E-buggy Championship, with a finish that stayed tight right down to the last corner. Hugo Tavernon (Mugen Seiki) had already locked in pole position by topping all four qualifying rounds.
Clement Boda takes the win, Tavernon takes the title
In the final, however, it was Clement Boda (Team Associated) who came out on top after a fiercely contested battle with Tavernon, the two drivers racing wheel to wheel all the way through the meeting’s last leg. Boda also set the fastest lap of the day. But in the overall championship standings for the season, it was Hugo Tavernon who claimed the 2026 French champion title, with Clement Boda 2nd. Remy Bermudez (Xray, Aigoin Racing) rounded out the podium in 3rd.
A great way to close out the season for 1/8 electric buggy, confirming just how deep the French field has become.
