Eagle Model GF-02-10: the aluminium rear steering wiper that stiffens the Tamiya GF-02’s 4WS

Japanese aluminium-option specialist Eagle Model keeps mining the Tamiya GF-02 chassis: after a first batch of braces and mounts, the brand has announced the GF-02-10, an aluminium rear steering wiper reserved for four-wheel-steering versions. A discreet part, but one that goes straight to what you feel at the wheel.
Eagle Model GF-02: why change the rear steering wiper
On a GF-02 set up with 4WS, it is the rear wiper that turns the servo’s command into rear wheel steering. In its original plastic form, that part works: it deforms slightly under every input, and that flex turns into dead travel. The result is a rear steering that answers with a slight delay and centres imprecisely — exactly what gets in the way as soon as you are looking for precision.
CNC-machined 60-61 aluminium, 850 bearing included
Eagle Model‘s answer comes down to one word: rigidity. The GF-02-10 is cut from hard 60-61 aluminium by precision CNC machining, which eliminates flex in the wiper itself. The servo’s action is transmitted directly to the steering, without the slop or the elasticity of the original part. The maker points to sharper handling, with no slack in the first few degrees of steering. The part ships with its 850 bearing and bolts straight onto the GF-02 chassis with no modification.
GF-02-10 part number and price
The part number is #GF-02-10 (AL rear steering wiper for GF-02, 850 bearing included), listed at 1,480 yen excluding tax, or 1,628 yen including tax at Japanese retail. It is presented as already on sale through the manufacturer’s own online shop.
A growing GF-02 range at Eagle Model
This rear wiper joins the set of aluminium parts Eagle Model had already announced for the same chassis: shock mount braces, a bumper mount, a heat-sink plate under the battery pack and wheel hexes. Enough to gradually turn a stock GF-02 into a noticeably stiffer platform without going down the full-kit route.
