ZEN has unveiled its new product programme for the second half of 2026. Four products are announced, all aimed at F103 chassis and DD cars — that family of direct-drive rear-wheel-drive machines that remains hugely popular in Japan in 1/10 on-road and F1. The brand explains that health issues have delayed the schedule and that no pricing has been set at this stage.
An axle clearance adjustment tool for DD cars
The first accessory tackles a tedious adjustment: axial axle clearance. The tool slips onto the axle while the hub fasteners are being tightened, guaranteeing consistent and repeatable clearance from one side to the other, where the adjustment is usually made by feel. On a DD car, that clearance directly determines free rotation and therefore drivetrain efficiency.
A body cutting jig for the F103
The second product is a jig that mounts on the chassis in place of the suspension arms to mark the cutting lines of an F103 body. Cutting the front section of an F1 body remains one of the trickiest exercises in the class: a mechanical reference fixed to the chassis avoids guesswork and saves a brand new body from being ruined.
Two Direct Traction Mount wing stays
The last two items are wing stays named Direct Traction Mount. The principle is to feed the rear wing load directly into the main chassis, rather than through the rear axle assembly, in order to significantly increase rear traction. One version is compatible with the F103 fitted with the Z1053 carbon rear upper deck, the second is intended for the ZFC-014 chassis.
Availability
These four parts are announced by ZEN for the second half of 2026, with pricing yet to be confirmed. The brand also indicates that further products are still under test.
