The Pro10 Eurocup remains one of the quietest events on the European on-road calendar, and one of the most technical. Alexander Hagberg has just published its workshop, filmed in July 2026 at the round held in Evry, France. A simple format – questions from the floor, answers from the drivers – but rich in information about a class that is regaining colour.
A three-voice Pro10 workshop
The Swedish Xray driver, a two-time IFMAR world champion and eight-time EFRA European champion, is not alone in the hot seat. He is joined by Antonino Mangiaracina and James Hild, the latter being the founder and organiser of the Pro10 series. Throughout the session the trio answer attendees’ questions, mostly on 1/10 pan car tuning: weight distribution, chassis behaviour, tyre choice and adapting to European tracks.
Why Xray built the XP10
The most interesting passage concerns the origins of the Xray XP10. Alexander Hagberg explains that the Slovak brand decided to develop its 1/10 pan car precisely because the Pro10 class is growing again in Europe after several quieter seasons. He also mentions Antonino Mangiaracina‘s involvement in the car’s development process.
That is a point worth underlining: unlike 1/10 touring, where the choice is vast, Pro10 largely runs on older chassis or small production runs. The arrival of a manufacturer of Xray‘s calibre, with the distribution network and technical support that come with it, is the kind of signal that gives a class lasting structure.
Pro10, a class worth rediscovering
A quick reminder of the principle: the Pro10 1/10 pan car is a flat-chassis on-road machine, two-wheel drive, with a prototype or stock car style body depending on the rules, running on carpet as well as asphalt. The Pro10 series run by James Hild offers several motor classes, from 17.5T blinky to modified, which keeps it accessible without diluting the level at the front of the field.
For anyone wanting to get started, this workshop is a good entry point: it shows setups as they are discussed trackside, without staging, by the drivers who keep the class alive.
