The MonTech New York Grand Prix opens its 8th edition this weekend (October 15-18) at 360v2 RC Raceway in New Rochelle, on the 105 x 48 foot carpet track, with 10 classes on the program this year.
Sam Isaacs defending a double title
Sam Isaacs, racing an Awesomatix chassis, arrives as the defending champion in two classes won last year: 1:12 Modified and Modified Touring Car. A double feat he’ll need to repeat against stiff competition.
Among the most anticipated rivals is Kemp Anderson, also on Awesomatix, winner of the 2024 edition, Top Qualifier at the 1:12 World Championships and ROAR Carpet National Champion. Xray colors will be defended by Canadian Keven Hebert and by Drew Ellis, the brand’s US team manager. On the Excelerate RC side, Englishman Ollie Payne, TQ and winner in 1:12 Super Stock in 2025, will also be looking to spoil the party.
With ten classes on the program and an international field, this MonTech New York Grand Prix promises a tight battle on American carpet for the rest of the indoor season.
